The Spiritual Sword quarterly journal began in October 1969. Each issue of the journal is biblical, balanced, and conservative in content.

Since 2024, our work has been overseen by the elders of the East Ridge church of Christ in Chattanooga, TN.

Note from the Editors
The editors stand today—sixty-five years later—exactly where The Spiritual Sword stood in 1969 and 1989. At this juncture, The Spiritual Sword is in a position to uniquely bridge heritage with horizon. The Spiritual Sword will continue to promote New Testament Christianity through a balanced presentation of “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:17). We aim to be faithful stewards of the tool God has given His people to promote the cause of Christ in the world and soundness in the brotherhood. The focus is doctrine and defense.
